PhD student success!

Deborah Steele, a PhD student in the Department of Life and Environmental Sciences, Faculty of Science and Technology recently won the best poster prize at the Integrated Marine Biogeochemistry and Ecosystem Research Open Science conference in Bergen, Norway.

Deborah’s presentation, “Cell viability and chlorophyll alteration in eukaryote phytoplankton”, reported work from several chapters of her thesis which she is currently writing up. Deborah is supervised by Dr Dan Franklin at BU and by Ruth Airs and Susan Kimmance at Plymouth Marine laboratory.
