Cloud Security

IbrahimMansourIbrahim Mansour finished his undergraduate in 2002 and since then he has worked in different positions. He has worked as a computer maintenance engineer, a high school teacher, an IT manager at Electricity Company, senior network security lecturer assistant and finally Cisco and Microsoft instructor at New Horizons training company. Having achieved Master in Network computing in 2010 as well as many certificates and experience in Cisco, Microsoft, Juniper and now cloud computing, including Amazon services, OpenStack and cloud networking (SDN & NFV), Ibrahim  joined Bournemouth University in January, 2015 to pursue his PhD degree.

His research is about Live, Cloud Migration for virtual machines and how it can be done in the heterogeneity of cloud environment. Ibrahim aims to enhance performance (minimize migration downtime & total migration time), security (securing the migration channel) and flexibility (decoupling virtual machines from underlying systems). The main contribution of his research is a tangible system to achieve this.
