Popular consumer group Which? have been working with Retail Experts and Psychologists at BU to inform shoppers about supermarket tricks of the trade.
In the May edition of its popular magazine, Which? described how eye-movements in Asda, Tesco, Sainburys and Morissons could be predicted by the layout and packaging of items in their stores. Using state-of-the-art equipment, BU’s researchers were able to monitor the eye-movements of shoppers on a daily shop and identify features of the stores designed to attract attention and makes sales.
