This event was hosted by the award-winning photographer Denis Roberts, who led a superb workshop on how to make a pinhole camera.
And here comes the Blue Peter bit… All you need to make your camera is a drinks can or a 35mm film canister, scissors, black tape, pins and emery paper. You then need photographic paper and some developing fluids and you can produce as many pictures as you like.
Participants had great fun trying to perfect their pictures. A steady surface is required, don’t be too far away from your object and ensure the sun is behind you. They even took a pinhole selfie.
Julie Herring and Laura Proctor from Art at BU organised this Festival of Learning 2014 event.
