Members of the Ageing & Dementia Research Centre have presented their work at a local Memory Roadshow in Poole. It was well-attended, with much interested in ADRC projects and activities, with invaluable knowledge sharing among those with dementia, their carers and the organisations whose services support them.
Dr Michele Board used a VR Android App to give people the chance to experience walking in the shoes of people with dementia, while post-graduate researcher, Raysa El Zein had an opportunity to explain how coconut oil can have a positive impact on ketone metabolism in older adults. Mandy Podee also shared her research project, which is looking into the holiday experiences of people with dementia and their carers. More information about Mandy’s research can be found here.
