Registered nurse retention survey launched

During September, the TRACS project team met with nursing staff from directorate to ward level to discuss the purpose and scope of the TRACS project.

The project start point is to gather some information from registered nurses working in two directorates in the Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (RBCH) – the Surgical and the Older Person’s Medicine Directorates.

With this objective, all registered nurses were sent a survey (with project information) on 27 September 2017 to complete entirely on a voluntary basis.  The completed survey will be collected in sealed envelopes and forwarded to the university-based research team for independent analysis.  All data will be managed confidentially by the university and no identifying details will be shared.

A good response rate is hoped for, as this will make the findings more reliable; the closing date for completed surveys to be returned by registered nurses is 30 October 2017.
