BU at the Society for American Archaeology

Professor Timothy Davill and Dr Karina Gerdau-Radonic will be attending the 81st Annual Meeting of the Society for American Archaeoloists in Orlando Florida on the 6-10 April 2016.

You can find them in the Exhibition Hall (Booth 122) promoting the courses and research activity of the Department of Archaeology, Anthropology and Forensic Science.

Professor Darvill will be presenting a paper entitled “Beyond Hopewell: Ceremonial Centers and Their Cosmologies” in the symposium HOPEWELL CEREMONIAL LANDSCAPES SEEN THROUGH THE LENS OF LARGE-SCALE GEOPHYSICAL SURVEYS: BIG DATA, BIG OPPORTUNITIES, BIG CHALLENGES in Northern Hemisphere Salon E3, 10:00 am – 12:00 noon, on Thursday 7 April.

Dr Gerdau-Radonic will be presenting a paper (jointly with Jelle DeFrancq) entitled “Tooth Tales from Lima: Pre-
Columbian Dental Health along the Central Coast of Peru” in the poster session SOUTH AMERICAN ARCHAEOLOGY IV in Atlantic Hall B, 8:00 am – 10:00 am on Saturday 9 April.
