Psychology success in the REF

Bournemouth’s first psychology submission to the 2014 Research Excellence Framework (REF) demonstrated the seriousness of our research intent.  Our publications were extremely strong, coming second to only one other post-1992 university (Plymouth) and ranking alongside universities such as Surrey, Leeds, Goldsmiths, Anglia Ruskin and Kent in the Times Higher’s league tables.

As we prepare for the next REF, we are looking forward to seeing the impact of this work develop from our two major research groupings in cognition and neuroscience and behaviour change.  As ever, it is a time of exciting transformation in Bournemouth University’s Psychology Department, with new staff adding to our existing strengths in 2015 and further development of our ongoing work.
