The Proceedings of the International History of Public Relations Conference 2014 are now online at or through this report (see details below).
There are 32 papers and abstracts from historians and researchers in a dozen countries. Topics range from the PR history of the German manufacturer Krupp to classical antecedents of public relations to the communication activities of the three most recent Popes and the PR of the French Resistance. As well as the Proceedings, there are separate online files of conference presentations.
“The IHPRC Proceedings show the vibrant and diverse state scholarship in the history of public relations,” commented IHPRC Chair Professor Tom Watson.
The conference, which is organised by Bournemouth University’s Public Relations Research Group, is already planning for its next edition on July 8-9, 2015. Abstracts are due by Monday December 15 to email@example.com.
